Dress obsessed: some more stylin' (more pics!)

I swear that this is my last dress post of the evening! I can't help it, your feedback and suggestions made me go back and try on some more combos, plus I decided to combine some of the necklace and shoe combos to see of they worked. Some of this might seem a bit repetitive, sorry about that, but I'd like to have a ready record on my Lookfab blog for quick and easy outfit ideas!

Pics 1&2 - green dress with snakeskin belt and two shoe options. Does the snake belt work with either shoe?

Pics 3&4 - green dress with necklaces plus oxfords.

Pics 5&6 - green dress with red flats and necklaces.

Pics 7&8 - green dress with striped cardi. Does this work? If so, is closed better or open?

Pic 9 is the green dress with orange necklace and blazer, as per shiny's suggestion. Does the blazer go with the dress?

Pics 10&11 are the coral dress with my cardigans. Turquoise looks lovely with coral, but isn't this cardigan too long? Also, do the stripes work with the coral? Sorry there is no pic of me in the last combo!

Phew! I would love your feedback on these looks. Thanks again for your help, it really helps :-)

It looks a bit too twee with the ballet flats. Though the pictures are really dark so it's hard to tell.

Ha ha Anna! I think that is why I am a bit confused with this dress, it is so girly! Sorry the pics are so dark!

Kirti, I love your green dress with both shoe options! I especially like how you've styled it with the belt in pic #1. I'm not keen on the striped cardi with it, though.

The coral dress with blue cardi is rocking the colourblocking craze. I think it's a lovely look on you!

I like #3 and #9 best, but all your incarnations work to my eye.

I think the cardigans both look a little long with the dress. Maybe a belt on top of the cardigans would help the proportions out. I also like the slightly shorter dangly necklace in pics #3 and #6. The other necklace looks almost too long to my eye. I like the green dress and think it fits you well and the coral dress is really pretty. The coral and stripes look good to me but it's hard to tell for sure if they'll work together until you try them on.

Thanks Helen! I was worried about the striped cardi looking too long over this dress. Oh well!

Thank you Angie! I was really worried that the turquoise cardi is too long over the dress, so glad that works :-)

Thanks Sara! I will try belting the cardis. I like both necklaces but I agree that the shorter one hits me a a better spot. I love it though, it's a skull :-D

Love both dresses! Love with or without the belts. The cardigans are a bit too long for dresses. do you have shorter ones?

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

Rute: Sadly, no! I think it is something to be on the lookout for this autumn :-)

Al of these are really nice! I'll break it down:

    - I like the oxfords a tad more than the ballet flats because oxfords adds a slightly more grown-up look + a bit more edge. The ballet flats are nice, but you get a more girly and sweet look.

    - snakeskin belt is great and is a neutral, so goes with any colour

    - I actually like the striped cardi, not too long. closed is more interesting lines IMO and I support trying to belt it :-)

    - I really like your long pendant necklace! Fun piece for the dresses :-) It looks a bit like a whistle... can you post a close up? :-)

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

Thanks harmonica :-) I agree with you on the oxfords. The long pendant is a whistle! And it even works. I will put a close up as soon as I can.

Sorry I'm late.....#9 is my absolute favorite! I also like #2....did I mention how much I adore those red flats? ;)

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

Thanks shabbychick! I like #2 too. The red flats are my favourite flats ever, but sadly they are on their last legs!
