WIW: Day 2 of 30x30

I really love this outfit with the bright shorts and the pattern mixing. The sad news is that this old favourite shirt of mine tore while sightseeing in Nimes yesterday. Sigh! I'm one item down already :(

This is a great pattern mixing outfit! I'd love to try that. Too bad about the shirt. :-(

LOVE this outfit and great background on that photo too!

Sorry about the shirt --- it is so cute. Not salvageable at all?

That is a very cute outfit, and nice pattern mixing! Sorry about the shirt, but now don't you have an excuse to shop for a replacement? ;-)

    So cute!

You get to replace the blouse, right? (I'm not sure of all the rules of your challenge.)

Very cute! I guess the upside is that it tore while you were site-seeing in Nimes, rather than, say, cleaning the bathroom : ) I hope you can find a replacement.

Very cute outfit (great pattern mixing) and I'm so sorry about the shirt. No way to repair it? Also, I LOVE that little striped cardi! I am on the hunt for one.

    ADORABLE!

    Great pattern mixing.

  • Kyle replied 11 years ago

You are quite an expert pattern mixer!

This looks fab - sorry about the shirt though!

I love this Kirti! What a great backdrop to your photo, too! Can you mend the tear? The shirt's busy print might keep the repair from being noticeable. The pattern mixing with the bright shorts is so chic!

Oh, your poor shirt! Is it too obvious a spot to stitch it up? :_(

Too bad because it is so pretty here pattern mixed with the stripes. I'm so glad you got the turquoise shorts - perfect for summer!

To all those who asked - the rip in the shirt is pretty huge, but I am planning to take it to q tailor tomorrow to see if he can salvage it. I hope so because my husband got it for me!

    Thanks citygirldc :-)

JennyAnne: I almost didn't wear it but I am glad I tried it out. Thanks :-)

Thank you Manidipa! I was in a garden in Nimes.

Janet: I totally do! I am just waiting to hit the sales ;-)

Thanks Alicat! Yep I will replace it :-)

sarah: Agreed! Nimes wqs pretty awesome :-)

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

Thanks Mer! I hope you can find one! :-)

Angie: Thanks! I am so glad it works!

Thank you Kyle, Shannon and Claire!

rae: Thanks! I am happy I got them, because they are so bright and cheerful. :-)

If they can do it on the heavy kanjivaram... they can do it on anything...

FWIW I got a kurta darned , the tear was huge... caught on the door....

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

Thanks ramrrr! I will keep the shirt safely until my next trip :-)

This is such a sweet outfit. I love your hair pulled back!

  • harmonica replied 11 years ago

I love the patter mixing and bright shorts! And what a great background - adds an extra dimension to the pattern mixing :-)

  • Kiwichik replied 11 years ago

Wow Like the others love the pattern mixing I think a ripped shirt means you can find a replacement item for your 30x30 challenge. I can definitely see this challenge is encouraging your creativity.

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

    Thanks Una and harmonica!

kiwichik: Thanks! I would not have tried this pattern mix if it had not been for this challenge!
