Obi baby aka what I finally bought!

I have been stalking elizabethkelly's etsy shop and her gorgeous obi belts since the beginning of the year. I just couldn't pull the trigger because I felt like they were a little too expensive, plus what would I wear them with?! But now that I've bought a few dresses and a skirt in the sales, I decided to pull the trigger and ordered this belt - http://www.etsy.com/listing/81.....ef=pr_shop.

I cannot tell you how helpful and friendly the shop owner is. She answered every one of my (silly) questions so patiently and agreed to make the belt ties a bit shorter for me as well. I will review the belt once it reaches me, but for now all I can say is that I have had a great experience with this etsy store. :-)

Yay for obi belts! There must be something in the air because I just purchased my first one, too. Hasn't arrived yet either, but maybe we can inspire each other with different ways of wearing them once they arrive.

Yours looks fab. And it's so nice that the Etsy shop owner was so accommodating of your wishes.

Oh this is fantastic Kirti! I've been looking at her belts too. I'll be eagerly awaiting your review as I've had one sitting in my Etsy cart for ages now.

I have bought two from her, a purple thinner one, and a thicker brown one. They are nice, but I can't seem to style them in a way that looks good on me. I should post some pics and get some feedback!

Oh this is going to be fun! And I'm betting you can find a nifty way to pair them with pants as well --- you have the long, slender torso to pull it off, over a blousing top.

Very nice!! I have been looking at Obi belts myself. So fun and versatile. Can't wait to see how you style it!

I'm always drawn to Obi belts, but I have yet to find one for myself. I just love this and can't wait to see how you style it!

Nice! I've been coveting an obi belt for a long time myself, but have not yet *done the deed* ;>

I'm with Rachylou - admired them but never taken the plunge. I saw a turquoise one at TJ Maxx that tempted me but never tried it on. This one looks luxurious. Can't wait to see it on you!

Ooh, this is fab! I have been wanting an obi belt for a while now so thanks for the link! I like that the front tie part of yours is skinnier - I think this would work better for short waisted me than the typical very wide style.

Cute! If anyone wants a cheaper version, this is what I just bought from Limited (in red):

I absolutely love it! Even wore it in my engagement photos. :)

I got an obi belt from her too! It is a lovely belt and she's great!

Ooo, that looks so pretty. I bet you will be pleased.

    That obi is beautiful!

I live the idea of obi belts but am not confident enough to order one-I worry they would wreack havoc on my short waist.
